LPU - Lovely Professional University Eligibility

1. Undergraduate Programs (B.Tech, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, etc.)

• Must have completed 10+2 (or equivalent) from a recognised board.

• Some programs may require minimum aggregate marks  (usually 50% or as specified).

• Certain professional courses may require scores in JEE Main, NATA, CLAT, or LPU's own entrance test (LPUNEST).

2. Postgraduate Programs (M.Tech, MBA, M.Sc, MCA, etc.)

• Must have a Bachelor's degree in the relevant field from a recognised university.

• Minimum marks required are usually 50% aggregate  (relaxation for reserved categories).

• Admission may be through LPUNEST (PG), merit in qualifying exams, or other national-level test scores (CAT, MAT, GATE, etc.) depending on the program.

• Typically, no strict age limit unless specified for certain programs (like B.P.Ed).

In order to apply to PhD at Lovely Professional University (LPU), one must fulfill explicit and student-friendly standards which are facilitating the academic excellence and research possibility. As a rule, you require a Masters degree in a related field (M.Tech, M.Sc, MBA, MA, etc.) and at least 55% marks (or CGPA, etc.). LPU also encourages applicants who have different academic backgrounds as long as they have the minimum requirements in the field of study of interest.

Applicants with a cleared UGC-NET/JRF, CSIR- NET, GATE, GPAT, or with an M.Phil. degree may be exempted of the LPUNEST (Phd) entrance test and therefore is of extra convenience and recognition of their previous performance. LPU takes into consideration both the academic merit and interest in research, the process of admission involves examining your research proposal, interview and academic record.
