Yes LMU Munich acceptance rate stands around 10% meaning out of every 100 candidates who apply for its admission process up to 10 will  be accepted. This makes it very hard to get into the university as only one tenth of the applicants will be offered admission

Yes LMU Munich ranked #58 in the latest QS World University Ranking and #2 in Germany. Moreover it ranked #34 worldwide in the WUR by Times Higher Education and again #2 in Germany. It has long been standing in the top 3 position as  German uni

LMU Munich has provided a sample resume format for students on its website. It specifies that it should be written in tabular form and include your personal details, education to date, university entrance examination, qualifcations and language skills

  • Goethe certificate (B2: TDN 3)
  • TestDaF
  • onDaF
  • telc German
  • Deutsche Hochschulzugangsberechtigung

  • IELTS- 5.5-7.0

Yes, as per the QS rankings 2026, LMU is ranked better than Heidelberg University. Ludwig Maximilians University Munich is ranked at #58 and Heidelberg at #80. Although there is one similarity that is striking, which is that both of these unis have their rankings improved from last three years.

Yes, international students can peg the US World and News rankings to be very accurate and trustworthy. This is because many factors are taken into consideration to derive a score. Among global universities of the world, RWTH ranks at #57 which is really good.

The Technical University of Munich and Ludwig Maximilian University Munich both are good in their ways. Students who wants to study technology or engineering, they can choose TUM, where students interested in Medicine, Humanities, research based programs, LMU is a good option.

Ludwig Maximilian University expects SAT scores for some programs only. The university ask for a proof of high school completion as a qualification. Students have to submit documents like transcripts, resume, English and German language requirements.
