LMU acceptance rate for international students is around 10%. Whereas, the acceptance rate for TUM is around 8% - 10%. This means that both of these universities are very selective at the time of admission. Both universities are tuition free, located in Munich and part of Germany's elite Excellence Universities. For the programs that are being taught in German at Ludwig Maximilians University Munich, evidence of German language proficiency test is required. Indian students have to submit these English language proficiency tests too for the programs whose language of instruction is German. The language certificates in German that are accepted at this university are:

- One of other C1/CD certificates

There is no tuition fee at LMU Munich for international students. However, for a few Graduate courses, a separate fee is charged. This amount varies as per the program. The fee for PG courses may be till INR 43 lakh. Also, note that students have to pay a semester fee.

Yes, LMU Munich offers some Bachelor's level and Master's degree programs in English. However, generally, to study at this university, students are required to have enough knowledge of German and prove German English language proficiency through an approved language certificate. In total, 100+ courses are offered at Bachelor's level and 110+ courses are offered at Master's level. The university offers more than 300 courses. A few of the courses offered in English at the Master's level are Data Science, Economics, Biochemistry, Physics, Political Science, etc. The subject groups at this university are:

No tuition fee is charged from international students at LMU Munich. However, there is a separate fee charged for a number of special graduate and professional degrees and certificates. This amount varies as per the type of the programme offered. For the PG students, the fees could be around INR 0 - 40.13 Lakh. Apart from this, the students are required to pay the living expenses, and around Euros 1,500 per month (Around INR 1.4 lakh) is required by international students.
