Yes, students can study at LMU Munich without learning German. There are several English-taught courses that only require valid scores in English language tests such as IELTS or TOEFL.

Having a basic understanding of German is advised to Indian students as it can boost the chances of getting part-time jobs in Germany.

Ludwig Maximillians University does not release a 'conditional admission or an offer letter for students with incomplete degrees

The high school Diploma is not enough for bachelor's admissions and Indian students would need an additional year of study (the preparatory course or Studienkolleg) before being considered here.

For master's level courses, the students need to submit a final transcript.

Indian students are required to submit either the German language proficiency proof or the English language result too. Ludwig Maximillians University of Munich accepts TestDaF 4, Goethe C2 for German and the English tests like IELTS or TOEFL

The test reports should be shared during the application period via the Uni-assist portal. They hold a lot of importance for the application evaluation.
