The admission criteria for the MA programme at the Central University of Kerala are mainly based on performance in the CUET-PG. Candidates need to register and appear for the CUET-PG exam first. For admission to IGNOU college for MA (Master of Arts) courses, students must atleast secure 50% marks in graduation in any discipline from a recognised university of India. Students can pursue MA courses at IGNOU in different education modes according to their convinience such as full-time, part-time, online, distance or correspondence.

The eligibility criteria to get admission into the MA course at the Center of Excellence in Public Policy, Sustainability and ESG Research is that candidates must complete their graduation from any relevant field with a minimum aggregate of 50%. Additionally, for the final selection process, the institute releases a merit list on the basis of candidates achieving scores in their graduation/ bachelor's degree or equivalent.

The general eligibility criteria required by the university to grant admission to a MA course at Azim Premji University is that candidates must complete their bachelor's degree from the recognised board with at least 50% aggregate. However, for admission to MA in Economics, candidates must complete their BA degree in Economics, and for MA in Public Health, candidates with a three-year bachelor's degree must have at least a year of work experience in a relevant field.
For the final selection process, the university accepts the scores of two entrance examinations, i.e., the CUET PG and the in-house university entrance exam (APU NET)
