You might also be eligible if you do not have a Bachelor's in Education, but you have worked as a teacher or trainer for at least 2 years. If you don't have professional teaching experience or a B.Ed.

Yes, you can give the test and the eligibility to appear the test is that you must be Indian national you should have passed post graduate course. You should score at least 55% in PG course the SC/ST communities require 50% mark you can apply for SET exam while in the final year of post-graduation course the age limit for JRF is 28 year.
