The M.Phil. Degree shall have the status of an intermediate Degree between the first Post-Graduate Degree and the Doctorate Degree. It will have both research and course components and will give the student adequate background for advanced research.
Terms & Program Content
Term 1:
Term one is of 8-month duration and includes:
• Research Methodology
• Core Paper (as an elective)
• Specialization Paper (Guide Paper)
Note:
The M.Phil. candidate is expected to secure approval of the Research topic from the Guide within one month of the start of the first term. Literature review should be completed within 4 months of the sta

Yes, you can opt English in your M.Phil or you can try for Phd - English. You need to check the university for the admission procedure for M.Phil.

In order to pursue M.Phil candidates needs to have Master's degree in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 60% marks (For Languages a minimum of 55% marks) or as prescribed by UGC
