Hindustani classical music is the Hindustani or North Indian style of Indian classical music. The style is sometimes called North Indian classical music or Sh?striya Sang?t or Kl?sik? Maus?q?. It is a tradition that originated in Vedic ritual chants and has been evolving since the 12th century CE, inNorth India and to some extent in Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Pakistan. MPhil is an advanced postgraduate research degree. MPhil is a lesser qualification thanPhD in which the student is expected to master a specific area in their subject and can be completed in two years' full-time study. The MPhil dissertation is normally shorter than the PhD thesis. In some of the universities M Phil is the prerequisite degree for PhD. Lot of students continue research of their MPhil thesis and complete their Phd easily. M Phil is a stepping stone for teaching and research career.
