Further they should clear the entrance tests held in the institute that are comprised of an online aptitude test, creative test and personal interview. 1.Science stream (B.Sc.) from a recognized universityPassed in B.Sc., with major subject being Food Science, Chemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Agriculture.

The minimum eligibility requirement at Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna Garhwal University (HNBGU) in Pauri Campus for M.Sc is as follows :
- 45% in the 10+2 or equivalent for the General Category
