NSHM Institute of Health Sciences Kolkata offers MSc across several specialisations. The duration for MSc at NIHS Kolkata is 2 years. The eligibility for MSc courses at NIHS is graduation/ bachelor's degree in any stream with at least 50% and a valid score in MAKAUT CET.

The qualification for the BS-MS programme at IISER Pune mandates students to pass Class 12 or an equivalent with a Science stream from a board. Students must also pass in the IISER Aptitude Test (IAT). The erstwhile avenues such as KVPY and JEE-Advanced are not taken into account anymore. The minimum eligibility for MSc at Vijayanagara Sri Krishnadevaraya University is scoring 50% of aggregate marks in UG from a recognised university. Admission into MSc programme at the college is merit based with the university accepting UG scores.
