The eligibility criteria to get admissions into MSc courses at Sikkim Manipal Institute of Technology are candidates must complete their BSc degrees either as a general or honors type in the subjects of physics, chemistry, and Mathematics. Moreover, the selection process is based on merit, which is evaluated on the basis of candidates' achieved scores in their bachelor's degree.

Most M.Sc. programs demand their applicants to finish a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) or equivalent qualification with appropriate subjects from a recognised university. All educational institutions demand degrees from their candidates to achieve an undergraduate mark average between 50% to 60% for students in the general category. The grades for applicants from reserved backgrounds normally fall between 45% and 55% in contrast to the 60% standard for normal category candidates. MIT School of Bioengineering Sciences and Research offer merit-based admission to the MSc programme. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria. Symbiosis School of Economics offers a two-year MSc course for interested candidates in the field of Science. The eligibility criteria for candidates is given below: 

  • Candidates must have completed their graduation with a minimum of 50% aggregate from a recognised university
  • Candidates in the final year of their graduation can also apply, their candidature will be based on them getting a minimum of 50% aggregate after the completion of their graduation 
  • Candidates belongng to the SC/ST category are given a concession of 5% in the minimum aggregate required at the graduation level

The selection criteria for the ISER Thiruvananthapuram MS course are inclusive of the selection rounds. Candidates with relevant backgrounds and interests satisfying the eligibility criterion will have to appear for an online proctored screening test. The screening test will be held in English. Candidates shortlisted based on their performance in the screening test will be selected through rounds. ISER Thiruvananthapuram MS admission is subject to a valid score in the last qualifying exam, followed by the test and personal interview rounds. Candidates who have a Bachelor's degree in the Sciences/Engineering/Mathematics or other relevant disciplines with a minimum 60% aggregate are eligible for the ISER Thiruvananthapuram MS admission. Further, 50% is reserved for SC/ST and PwD candidates. This eligibility criterion is common across all four disciplines.
