Yes, IHM Chandigarh does follow seat reservations for the MSc course. The institute has seats for candidates belonging to reserved categories. As per the NCHMCT guidelines, for admission under these categories, aspirants need to submit the relevant documents. Check out the seat reservation below, fetched from the official website of NCHMCT:
- 15% for the Scheduled Caste (SC) Category.
- 7½% for the Scheduled Tribe (ST) Category.
- 27% for the OBC (Central List) (Non-creamy layer) Category as per the Central List.

When a candidate is granted admission to the MSc course at IHM Chandigarh, they must produce the following documents in original for verification; failing to do so will result in the denial of admission.
- Marksheet of Class 10, 12 and graduation.
- Proof of Date of Birth.
- Character Certificate issued by the last attended school/college.
- Reserve Category Certificate.
- Details of the Intervening Period.
- (Online) required fee payable at the IHM Chandigarh Portal.
- Certificate of Medical Fitness from the registered medical practitioners with the admission form.

Yes, it is possible to get admission to IIIT Lucknow for candidates belonging to the General AI category. For other categories also, such as OBC AI and SC AI, this rank is enough to grant admission to the MSc in Data Science. The cutoff for the same among the General AI category candidates was closed at 531.

The dates of commencement for MSc courses at IHM Chandigarh for the academic batch of 2025 have been officially released on the official website of the institute. The classes for the MSc course first semester usually started in the initial month of August. Moreover, the document verification, physical reporting, and fee payment concluded in the month of July.
