Students can get admission on merit-basis in M.E./M.Tech in KJ College of Engineering and Management Research. But preference is given to students who have qualified GATE for selection in the programme.

Candidates have to get minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category students) in Bachelor's degree in relevant stream to be eligible for admission in M.Tech programme at VELS School of Engineering. Eligible students are selected for admission based on valid score in GATE/TANCET/ VELS entrance exam.

MANIT M.Tech students with a valid GATE score get a monthly stipend of around INR 12,400 and is paid by the government. You must be admitted through the regular CCMT rounds to qualify. To keep getting this money, you need to attend classes and help in labs. This is called a teaching assistantship and takes about 8 hours a week.

To apply for M.Tech at MANIT, you need a BE or BTech degree in a relevant field. General, EWS, and OBC students need at least 60% marks or a 6.5 CGPA. If you are from the SC, ST, or PwD categories, you need 55% or a 6.0 CGPA. You also need 75% in Class 12.

Students who are selected for M.Tech admissions are eligible for scholarships. Selection is done by the university on the basis of GATE scores. The scholarships are provided on the basis of Graduation marks. Students with 60% and above marks are eligible. Students who have more than 80% marks are given a scholarship amount of INR 12,000.

The eligibility for applying is Graduation in relevant discipline. Students who have done BTech/MCA/MSc are eligible to apply. However, the minimum aggregate is not mentioned by the university on its official website. Admissions are completely entrance-based. Accepted exam is GATE. Moreover, the university offers various scholarships on the basis of Q-CARE exam.
