IITD, DTU and NSIT are the best options for M.Tech in Delhi based on placement records. You have almost guaranteed job scope in these institutes.

It is not mandatory to take admission, if your scores are excellent in GATE, then you can get PSU sector's jobs easily.

Only after completion of AMIE Section A and B you will be treated equivalent to graduation degree. Therefore, you can apply for M.Tech on completion of Section A & B of AMIE.

It's very tough for a mechanical engineer to get placed in core companies via college. You'll get IT company jobs real easy. You need to maintain a good percentage and try those couple or pure companies that come.
