MTech CSE is a two-year course offered by NIT Durgapur. M.Tech curriculum is divided into four semesters. Below are the subjects taught in first semester:

NIT Durgapur admissions for MTech is based on GATE score. The institute offers seats under Sponsored and Self-Sponsored Category. After qualifying GATE, candidates are required to come for CCMT Counselling. GATE cutoffs are released online, aspirants with score equal or above cutoff, become eligible for counselling. Aspirants need to register for CCMT Counselling to become eligible for seat allotment. Selected candidates are required to confirm their seat by paying the course fee.

MTech is one of the popular courses of NIT Durgapur. NIRF has ranked NIT Durgapur at 44 in 2024 rankings under 'Engineering' Category. It is one of the recognised NITs of India offering two-year M.Tech programme. Candidates have an option of 18 specialisations in M.Tech at NIT Durgapur. No, admission to MTech at IIT Bhilai is not possible without GATE. Based on their ranks, candidates will be allocated seats and branch accordingly. Those who get a good rank in GATE can register for COAP Counselling. 

However, for admission to MTech (Bio-Engineering) branch, candidates can apply via GPAT scores. These candidates will be exempted from appearing for GATE.
