Candidates with a valid BE/BTech degree from a recognised university can apply for NIT Jalandhar MTech course. Aspirants must have scored at least 60% aggregate to apply. Aspirants must have the relevant documents for verification.

The total tuition fee for a two-year MTech is INR 1.4 Lacs (except for M.Tech AI). The tuition fee for M.Tech in Artificial Intelligence (AI) course is INR 2.72 lakh. This given fee is for regular M.Tech candidates. For the candidates belonging to a self-sponsored category, the tuition fee is INR 2.2 lakh, while the SC/ST category candidates are exempted from tuition fee payment. It must be noted that the given fee is as per unofficial sources and hence may vary.

NITJ offers MTech programmes in 18 specialisations. The multiple specialisations in which the course is available are Computer Science & Engineering, Industrial Engineering, VLSI Design, Structural & Construction Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Electronics & Communication Engineering, etc. The mode of study for all these courses is full-time. The totals seat intake for these specialisations is 494.

Candidates of all the MTech specialisations get campus placements. In the 2022 placements, 523 students were placed and a 90% placement percentage was achieved. The M.Tech CSE branch is further one of the popular branches. Moreover, as per a consolidated report, the average package offered in 2022 was INR 22.7 LPA (domestic) and INR 60.9 LPA (international).

The total tuition fee of the M.Tech programme at IIIT Bhagalpur is INR 2 lakh. These fees are excluded of other fees that are payable only at the time of admission. Other than the programme fee candidates have to pay a application fee for the GATE exam while registering for the exam. The applicatipn fees are : Female/SC/ST/PwD candidates need to pay INR 900 while all other category candidates will have to pay INR 1800 as application fees.

MTech eligibility at IIIT Bhagalpur requires students to have valid GATE score in the relevant discipline. Students should have BTech degree in the relevant discipline with minimum of 60 percent marks or equivalent CGPA (55% for SC/ST candidates). Non-GATE students can apply through the institution's official website and appear for the written test and personal interview.

The selection to IIIT Bhagalpur M.Tech programme is based on the candidate’s GATE exam score followed by the centralised counselling process regulated by the CCMT through which they are allotted a seat. The seat allotment also depends on the college cutoff and a candidate’s preference for that course and college. GATE registrations usually begin in the month of August.

IIIT Bhagalpur provides a two-year MTech programme in five specialisations: Signal Processing and Machine Learning, Electric Vehicle Technology, VLSI & Embedded Systems, Artificial Intelligence & Data Science, and Microwave & Communication Systems. For admission to the M.Tech programme, Candidates must appear for the GATE exam followed by CCMT counselling.
