Dear Pooja, First of all, there is no gender discrimination in the field of education and job, in fact, nowadays girls are pursuing Civil and Mechanical engineering. You can choose M.Tech if you want to be a teacher in the future else you can go for a job in the private or public sector. I can give you the answer of this question based on the feedback received from students who are known to me and are currently studying Civil Engineering at LPU. Besides, few colleagues of mine who have previously worked in the same Deptt. So, following are the highlights of Civil engineering in LPU: -

Both the branches are 2 different streams. If you aim to be a software engineer or if you are a good coder you can opt for VIT. If your aim is to become a mechanical engineer you can opt sastra. Now a days software industry has high demand if they study well they can get job easily that is not the case for mechanical engineering.
