 To meet the need of assisting students, the Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) has introduced scholarship schemes for students at this institution who are pursuing UG courses.

 The merit-based scholarship is awarded mainly to those who have scored high in their 12th grade or above in entrance tests like IPU CET; further, the institute offers financial aid as per Government Guidelines for EWS, but costs only a portion of the fees.

Following the same merit, government scholarships are provided for under-reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) and for applicants from Delhi. But there are some other components that have been developed to keep the cost of education affordable, while the amount sanctioned and the academic year change with these policies and student performance. 

With regards to the B.Tech in CSE program, MAIT generally beats BPIT on most occasions. This case can be stated in accordance with the rankings of both colleges-MAIT ranked 43rd in India Today 2023 surveys, and no such nationally recognised surveys have accorded BPIT any similar rank.

MAIT's placement record in CSE is phenomenal, attaining 100% placement for batches 2024-25, with average package rates ranging from 6 to 8 LPA, and the best recruiters being Amazon and Microsoft. BPIT does not enjoy similarly impressive placement figures with a much lower presence of major recruiters. The infrastructure is much better at MAIT, which has a rating from students of 3.9, opposed to a lesser rating of BPIT. 

The Delhi-based Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT) is a coveted name in the engineering world. With an engineering institute ranking of 43 for 2023 in India Today, MAIT is known for its academics and placement. It has also been consistently ranked in the NIRF 2024 under the category of engineering in the 201-300 band.

MAIT is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University and is recognised by AICTE, which gives it a very good syllabus and industry linkages. The ranking has also been supported well by strong faculty members, modern infrastructure, and a strong placement record, making it one of the best possible choices for private engineering colleges of the region.

In MAIT, the cutoff for admission into its MBA programme for the year 2024 is dependent on the scores attained in the IPU CET or the CAT. For reference, the CAT exam set its cutoff range between 70 and 80 percentile, whereas for IPU CET, the rank required varies from 500 to 1000 depending on the candidate pool for that year.

The exact figures fluctuate every year depending on the number of seats available and the performance of the candidates. MAIT, being a private institute in Delhi, keeps entrenched minimum thresholds to ensure a competitive admission process whereby the final ranks are announced during the IPU counseling rounds after the examinations are concluded.

B.Tech admissions to MAIT (Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology) are done through JEE Main scores, as it belongs to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (IP University) itself. The candidates should appear for JEE Main Paper 1 followed by IPU CET counseling; however, JEE ranking is preferred.

The minimum cutoff is 55% in their 10+2 from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Other than BITSAT or state tests, no other national-level tests are accepted.

This maintains the outline of the merit-based selection criteria established under IP University system, with branch-wise cutoffs varying from AIR of approximately 50,000 to 1,00,000 for general.
