NALSAR University of Law is generally considered one of the top law schools in India with a stronger national reputation and established alumni network. While MNLU Mumbai is newer, it offers solid education with the advantage of being located in Mumbai, providing good professional opportunities.

Maharashtra National Law University (MNLU) Mumbai has a capacity of 100 seats for its BA LLB (Hons.) program. This intake includes:

 

- 70 seats are available for general category students.

- 10 seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes (SC) candidates.

- 5 seats are reserved for Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates.

- 15 seats are allocated for Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates.

- 5 seats are set aside for Specially Abled Persons (SAP).

 

Additionally, 20 supernumerary seats are available for Foreign Nationals/Non-Resident Indians (NRIs). There are also 2 supernumerary seats reserved for Jammu & Kashmir permanent residents.
