It was established in 1985 and houses a whopping number of 74045 texts, out of which 1999 are journals/ periodicals, 10107 references of theses or dissertations, 567 CDs and 728 purchased EBooks. It has a seating capacity of 150 and has a reading room for all its students open from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm on all working days. It also has a service known as 'book-bank' exclusively for SC/ST students, where they can issue books for one whole academic year.
