If you want to take admission in journalism course, every institute has different requirements for selecting candidates for their course. For undergraduates:
you can apply for journalism course after you have passed class 12 with a minimum percentile of 50 from any stream be hit Science, commerce or arts.
Some colleges require you to possess excellent communication skills, English speaking skills and writing skills
Admissions are done either on basis of 12th marks or on the basis of entrance tests of various universities
Some colleges also take personal interviews to shortlist students
For post graduates:
You must have a valid under graduate degree of a duration of 3/4/5 years from recognised university
Candidates from all streams and disciplines are eligible to perceive the post graduate journalism courses
Candidates may be required to have appeared for an entrance test conducted by various universities offering the course.

LPU is in the best position to pursue a B.A. (Journalism and Mass Communications) and Masters degree as my cousin graduated last year. The programme is designed to expose students to all dimensions of print, electronic and new age media. The main focus is to improve technical skills in reporting, news design software, video editing, photography, etc. LPU provides students with a rigorous approach to pre-production, post-production, scriptwriting for radio, television and multimedia. The curriculum of this programme lays a strong focus on the application of concepts and principles in all domains of journalism like print, electronic and online media. Students can get an opportunity to cover academic, cultural, co-curricular, and sports events on a university campus for the in house TV channel and newspaper through live project-based courses. There will be more practical exposure to students through field visits and interaction with industry experts.
