The forms in IIMC are generally available online in the month of April till the month of May. The entrance exam takes place every year towards the end of May or early in June.

Development communication refers to the use of communication to facilitate social development. Development communication techniques include information dissemination and education, behavior change, social marketing, social mobilization, media advocacy, communication for social change and community participation.
Most of the University Departments offering a Post-Graduate or Under-Graduate programme in Mass Communication and Journalism generally have Development Communication as one of their main subjects.
