I think you should look for Media Management and/ or Communication Management over Mass Communication as it is narrow and outdated unless you get admission in Jamia Millia Islamia. Please look at the offerings at MICA, ISB&M and other Media Schools and decide.

The salary of a producer working in office, and that of a reporter are different. There is no specific scale, but the size of the organisation does matter. I worked with ABP News. But there are newspapers and local channels that offer something as low as 5K/month, but mostly this is the figure in cities like Bhopal, Indore, Bareilly. T

To become an anchor, you should complete your graduation first. Although, that was not compulsory in the early times, however today a good education qualification is must. Most importantly, you need to personally mold yourself into a personality perfect for an anchor. You should be updated with current affairs, general knowledge. Confidence and alertness are key to become a good anchor. Thus, I would suggest you to complete graduation in courses that would help you in these areas, such as Bachelors in Mass Media or Bachelors in Journalism and Mass Communication. Hi Siddharth,
It's not so difficult to get into the top colleges, all you've to do is, get old of a current affairs book, read the news paper on a daily basis and stay updated with what's happening around the world. Also, please focus on your English. And in some colleges, focus on basic maths too. Some colleges also have Group Discussion and Personal interview so you'll have to prepare for that as well.
