MAT Eligibility

Eligibility criteria for XAT and MAT exam:
1. XAT 2018:
Recognized Bachelors degree of minimum three years duration or equivalent in any discipline.
Final year students can also (completing final examination by June 2018) can also apply.
The eligibilty for XLRI programmes like Human Resource Management (HRM), Business Management (BM) is similar. Candidates with three years of work experience will be given preference in Global Business Management.
NRI and Foreign candidates may apply through GMAT scores.
Note: Theres no specific age limit for XAT exam.
2. MAT 2017 exam:
Graduates in any discipline can take the exam.
Final year graduation students can also apply.
Theres no age limit for MAT exam.

Sorry, you can't take admission in MBA after securing 40%. A candidate holding a graduate degree (at least of three years duration) or post-graduate degree of the University or of any other university recognised to be equivalent thereto by the University with at least 50% of Marks (45 % in case of SC, ST and OBC candidates) in aggregate in the Faculty of either Engineering, Medical Science,Agriculture, Social Science, Commerce, Arts, Life science, Hotel Management, shall be eligible for application for admission to MBA course: Provided that the following examinations shall not be taken as basic degree for application for admission to MBA course:
LLB, BJMC, B.P.Ed, B.Ed., B.Lib.I.Sc. As also any graduate degree for which the minimum admission qualification is a basic degree course of 3-years duration.

CAT is national-level MBA entrance examination conducted by the IIMs. MAT is a national-level management entrance examination conducted by AIMA.
CAT is national-level MBA entrance examination conducted by one of the IIM on a rotational basis. Admission to IIMs is two stage process. The first stage is based on CAT score. Candidates who clear CAT are called for GDPI. Selection is based on CAT score, GDPI performance and academic records. The minimum eligibility criterion for admission in MBA is at least a 3-years Bachelor's degree in any subject from a recognised university with at least 50 per cent marks or equivalent (45 per cent for SC/ST or persons with disability (PWD) category).CAT test does not have a predefined syllabus. CAT tests candidates in general aptitude including Verbal Ability (English), Quantitative Ability (Mathematics), Logical Reasoning (LR) and Data Interpretation (DI) skills. CAT is multiple-choice based test with penalties for wrong answers.
Management Aptitude Test (MAT) is a standardized test being administered since 1988 to facilitate Business Schools (B-Schools) to screen candidates for admission to MBA and allied programmes. Govt. of India, Ministry of HRD approved MAT as a national level test in 2003. Any B-School - national or international - can consider MAT Score as an admission input based on the Score Cards issued to the candidates. Final year students of Graduate Courses can also apply.
