MAT Eligibility

If I were in your position, I wouldn't wait too much or get stressed about the scores. You already have 2 years of work experience, which is a good advantage and adds value to your profile.

My suggestion would be to apply to colleges that accept MAT scores while also waiting for your CMAT result. That way, you keep your options open and don't lose time.

Personally, I would suggest GIBS Bangalore. What I liked about GIBS is that the college looks at the overall profile of a student and not just one exam score. Along with academics, there is a strong focus on internships, industry exposure, live projects, placement training, and skill development.

My simple advice: Apply with your MAT score if you're eligible and also keep your CMAT option open. Don't let one exam score decide your future. A good college and the effort you put in during the course matter much more in the long run.

In order to qualify for the MAT exam, candidates must meet specific academic criteria set by the agency in accordance with government regulations. The eligibility criteria for the MAT exam in 2023 are as follows: Applicants should have successfully completed their graduation in any discipline or possess an equivalent degree from a recognised university. Additionally, students in their final year of graduation awaiting their results are also eligible to apply for MAT 2023. Notably, there is no minimum score requirement for MAT, and candidates with passing marks are eligible to appear for the exam. Furthermore, individuals who have attained a professional degree such as CA, CS, or ICWA are also eligible to apply for the MAT exam. These diverse eligibility criteria aim to provide opportunities for a wide range of candidates to participate in the Management Aptitude Test. There is no age limit to undertake the MAT exam.
