For MBA admission at GIBS, the MAT cutoff is usually around 64 percentile, while the CAT cutoff is about 60 percentile. This means the MAT route is slightly more competitive compared to CAT, but the difference is not huge. Both exams give you almost the same chance of getting shortlisted, as GIBS considers overall performance in entrance exams along with GD and PI rounds. So, you can choose either based on your strengths and comfort with the exam pattern.

No, MAT scores are not compulsory for admission to MBA courses at VJIM. The institute accepts several entrance examination scores for admission to VJIM MBA courses. The names of the accepted entrance exams are CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, ATMA, and GMAT. Candidates with valid scores in any of the following entrance exams can get admission to the PGDM course at VJIM. Thus, MAT is one of the accepted entrance exams for the MBA courses. However, it is not compulsory.

Yes, students can get admission to the MBA course at the IA School of Management Studies without MAT scores. Because candidates with decent scores in any of the entrance examinations, such as PGCET, KMAT, MAT, CAT and XAT can enroll in the MBA program. Moreover, before securing a good score in the entrance exam, candidates must complete the minimum eligibility criteria.

Candidates typically need a score above 600 or a percentile above 85, according to some MBA entrance exam resources, to get admission.
They also accept other entrance exams like CAT and CET.

There is no specific MAT Cutoff for Sankalp Business School.

To be eligible for the MBA programme at Sankalp Business School, candidates must have a bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks (or 45% for reserved categories) and qualify in an entrance exam like MAT, CAT, or CET.

It is common to find the MAT 2024 question papers (of previous years and sample papers) on the different online platforms. Past papers and mock tests are also available as a downloadable PDF on websites such as official AIMA-MAT website (mat.aima.in), Shiksha. The resources can help to know the exam pattern, types of questions besides practicing time management invaluably.

The MAT 2025 exam is switching things up a bit. It's still got 5 sections and 150 questions, but instead of Global GK, it now has “Economics & Business Studies”—feels more MBA-ish, right? The usual suspects—Maths, English, Reasoning, and Data Analysis—are still there. You'll get 120 minutes to vibe through the paper. Honestly, with regular prep and mock tests, this syllabus isn't too scary.
