CMAT and MAT, these both exams are among the important management exams. But CMAT is bit tougher than MAT. These exams are almost the same but difficulty level is somehow different.
MAT exam includes Reading Comprehension, Logical Reasoning, Data Analysis, Mathematical Skills, etc. and CMAT includes Quantitative Techniques, Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension, etc.
There are many good institutes like NIT Warangal, Institute of Finance and International Management-Bangalore, etc. are also giving admission through MAT and institutes like JBIMS-Mumbai, Goa Institute of Management-Goa, K. J. Somaiya Institute of Man

Yes sure, if you want you can definitely clear the bank PO exams as the syllabus for the bank exam is most similar to the CAT, or MAT exams. You need not to go through the different subjects.
The IBPS PO recruitment exam consists five sections that are English, reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude, general awareness and computer knowledge.
You can apply for the bank PO exam. The difficulty level of the bank PO exam is almost similar to the CAT, MAT exams.
Make a solid study plan and follow it strictly.
So tighten your shoe and start to practice from now, you will crack the exam. Be confident and keep practicing.
All the best.

Anyone who prefers MAT over CAT may lack the proper knowledge. CAT is one of the toughest entrance exams in India. The papers are set by IIMs and the preparation for CAT can give nightmares but it is worth it, as a beautiful career can be shaped out of it.
Taking nothing away from MAT, but MAT is comparably easier than CAT.

Dear student,
There are few good colleges which do accept MAT scores and are reasonably priced and these are well reputed and offer you good ROI.
Some are Jamna Lal Bajaj, Sydhenm, KJ Somaiya, Welingkar, PUMBA, Indira and St. Xavier's, Mumbai.
But the only thing is that they consider a score above 96%ile in MAT exam.
Applications are accepted through Maharashtra-CET.
Packages of these colleges reach up to 10 LPA in the first 3 and 5-6 LPA and rest of the colleges.
All the best.
Good luck.
