International students shortlisted for an interview or other final selection stages will be notified within 2 weeks of the last date of application. Students who do not receive a response to their applications 4 weeks after submitting them can contact the university.

The decisions are announced online and all the student-specific communication from the university is done via email. Hence, students must register with an active email address to keep track of all university notifications, especially in their spam folder. Maynooth University accepts international applications in spring and fall intakes. The fall intake application deadline has passed and students who want to pursue the courses in the spring semester can start filling out their application from the first week of November.

Indian applicants thinking to apply to Maynooth should meet the entry requirements given below-

UG

  • Higher Secondary School Certificate Grade 12 with a minimum overall result of 75% (English result of 70% issued by the CBSE) or ICSE)
  • Any equivalent Grade 12 all India Secondary School Certificate
  • English result of 75% (any board)
  • Subject requirements
  • Student must be over 18 years of age

PG

  • Bachelor's degree (equivalent to an Irish bachelor's degree from a recognised university with a minimum final overall result of 60%) 
  • Subject requirements
  • A minimum final overall result for all our Business degrees is 55%

International students have to pay Maynooth University fees once they get selected for the program. The Tuition fee for UG and PG programs may vary as per the specializations. The tuition fee for undergraduate programs ranges between INR 14.23 L - 18.97 L On the other hand, the tuition fee for PG programs lies between INR 5.01 L - 26.35 L. The Maynooth University acceptance rate is 52% which shows competitive selection criteria of the students. It is not hard to get Maynooth University admissions, however, international students must fulfill the eligibility criteria for UG and PG programs.

Being an international applicant at Maynooth, you have to pay an application fee of Euro 50. Before that, the student has to fill out the application through the central application office. The students have to fill out the details like academic scores, English language scores, standardized scores, required experience, and extracurricular activity records (if any).

Students who want to work part-time during their coursework at Maynooth University need to submit an application and get a PPS number first. Also, students will not get a VISA to visit Ireland for distance learning or enrol in a part-time course.

International students enrolled in a full-time course of a duration of at least one year need not obtain a work permit to take up part-time work opportunities. Students with an immigration stamp 2 authorization can work up to 40 hours per week for four months in mid-year and a month at the end of the year. At other times, they can work up to 20 hours every week.

After you have applied on the official admission portal of Maynooth University, the application is reviewed and assessed by respective department. Students will be communicated about the selection within 4 weeks from receiving complete application. A student will receive any of the following responses-

  • Firm offer of a place on a program
  • Conditional offer depending on course specific requirements
  • Invitation to interview
  • Unsuccessful application
  • Placed on a waiting list.
