As per the official website of MIT WPU Pune, the entrance exam is compulsory for admission to the MBA course. The university accepts multiple national-level entrance exams such as MAT, XAT, CMAT, MAH CET, etc., for admission to the MBA course. CAT is among the different entrance exams that are required for admission. Therefore CAT exam is not compulsory for MBA admission at MIT WPU, since the university accepts other enytrance exam as well. However, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in any field which is compulsory for MBA admission.

Candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited university in order to be admitted to Universal AI University's MBA program. Both a personal interview (PI) and a board room interview (BRI) are commonly part of the admissions process. While no particular admission exam is necessary, some programs may have requirements for eligibility, such as a legitimate score on tests like the GMAT, CAT, or XAT.
