All students interested in taking admission must fulfil the basic Sikkim University Gangtok MBA eligibility criteria. Mentioned below are the category-wise eligibility requirements to be met:
- General: Graduation in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate
- SC/ST/OBC/DA: Graduation in any discipline with at least 45% marks in aggregate

S B Jain Institute of Technology, Management and Research offers a two-year MBA course at the PG level. As per the minimum eligibility requirements of the course, candidates must pass a UG degree in the relevant discipline. Additionaly, candidates are required to apply and appear for MAH MBA CET entrance exam, followed by CET counselling for admission.

Eligibility criteria for MBA/PGDM at Xavier Institute of Management and Research, Mumbai is given here in brief:
Education Qualification: Candidate should have completed the Bachelor's degree (10+2+3) from a recognised university with a minimum of 50% marks and 45% for the reserved category students.
Entrance Exam: Valid score in XAT (Xavier Aptitude Test); Valid score in CAT (Common Admission Test); Valid score in CMAT (Common Management Admission Test); or valid score in GMAT.
