Yes, if you score high in the MAT exam, you will definitely get a chance to study in top B-Schools. I have mentioned the top MBA colleges which accept MAT scores in India at the link provided below. Scoring a very high percentile above 98 or 99 is considered the basic requirement to get shortlisted by IIMs. In the race we forget that the primary requirement to qualify for getting shortlisted by the IIMs is scoring high and balanced sectional percentile in CAT and not the over-all percentile. IIMs after applying their equated normalization system would prefer a candidate with fairly high balanced percentile of 90+ and 94+ in each section with overall percentile of 95-97 to a candidate with overall high percentile of 98-99 having greater deviation in sectional percentile. The exam for this programme could be CAT, MAT, etc. You need to specify which exam you wish to appear for. To crack an MBA entrance all you need to do is practice as many variety questions as possible. Hard work and consistency is the key. Please tell me something more about your preparation so that I can give you few tips. Have you enrolled into any institute for coaching or have you started prep? What is your background. Math or Science. Please provide some information at least so that I can give you some specific answer.

Yes, but not in the ones you expect to get admitted to. The scores are comparatively low and not all colleges have cut off that low.
