Minimum of 500+ score in MAT is tentatively the cut-off, although it can vary year on year.
Candidates will be shortlisted for group discussion (GD) and personal interview (PI) on the basis of their application form.
ii) The final selection will be based on the candidates performance in GD & PI, past academic record and test scores in CAT, MAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA or GMAT.

CAT does not have a predefined syllabus. CAT tests candidates general aptitude including verbal ability (English), quantitative ability (mathematics), logical reasoning and data interpretation skills. You may refer to the following link for list of top B-Schools which accept CAT score: https://www.shiksha.com/mba/ranking/top-mba-colleges-in-india-accepting-cat/2-2-0-0-327

The average package depends upon your performance and college you have opted for. The minimum 50% marks required along with valid MAT score for admissions.

Yes, you can apply for CAT 2017 while working in a bank. Coming to points for work experience, individual IIM's have their rating criteria to rate quality and quantity of your work experience. As a thumb rule, people with work experience between 2-3 year get the highest points and points awarded anything more or less than that reduces linearly. A work experience of 6 months or so will not have any significant effect on your composite score but might sway the interview towards work experience rather than academics.

It is always better to do a productive work rather than sitting idle. Hence it is advised to take up the clerical job and leave it later to continue with your MBA education when the time arrives.
