CAT and MAT preparations are almost common, except methodology. You can start preparation with quantitative techniques book. You can follow RS Agarwal, which is available in the market. After sometime, you can take coaching from IMS or TIME. You should solve old papers.

Your chances are much less.Still try your luck and apply for the college through ACPC.

Expected cut-off is 95% in CMAT or above.

The majority of B-schools use GD/ PI to select students for MBA along with academic score and entrance exams score.

Dear Kamal Razdan, almost all good business schools offer MBA admissions on the basis MAHCET scores, amongst them are Sydenham, Balaji Group, Indira Group, Spjain Group etc.

There are various B-schools offering MBA and PGDM courses. You can apply to any B-school by your CAT scores. IIMs are the topmost B-schools and various institutes accept CAT scores.

You have good chances of getting into Soon Business School. Generally its cut off for MAT is around 450.

Take tests regularly, evaluate your performance after every test. Work on the topics where you scores low. Try to revisit the tests and work on the stronger topics.

For preparing CAT 2017 start practising with basic Quant. questions, you can refer books like Arun Sharma, Trishna. For verbal you need to read newspaper articles daily, practice more on jumbled sentences/para completion. DI-LR again needs practice.
For initial two months start preparing yourself with each week dedicating to a particular section and try to cover the maximum syllabus. After gaining confidence join a good test series and improve on weak topics. You need to utilise your time cautiously.

Most the top B-Schools in India use CAT score. B-Schools which accept MAT score are generally Tier II and Tier III colleges. MAT is the only good option if you are unable to crack CAT, XAT, SNAP, IIFT etc.
