High chances of getting admission because cut-off goes around 72% in OBC category.So dont loose hopes.

You have chances to get a call from IFMR. Your CAT score is slightly below the usual CAT cut-off of IFMR (i.e. 80 percentile). Based on your work experience and academic profile, you have chances of getting a call.

Hi Parul,
Appearing for CAT, which is the toughest of all MBA exams, in itself is a task.Once you have made a successful attempt at it, the next thing you need to do is make a choice of top MBA colleges accepting CAT score.
85% in CAT is a decent score which has plenty of options from private and Govt colleges. Though for top B schools one should have 90% and above score.
Colleges accepting CAT score ranging between 80 to 90 percentile are:
1) Amity University, Raipur, Raipur
2) Amity University, Haryana (AUH), Gurgaon
3) Amity University, Gwalior, Gwalior
4) Goa Institute of Management (GIM), Goa
5) National Institute of Technology (NIT Tric

Yes definitely reading will help you to score good marks in Reading and Comprehension within assigned time frame. Reading editorials, novels and taking RC tests every day will help you hone your skills in RC. It help us to understand use of foreign words. It also help us in GD and PI by helping us knowing current affairs, economic environment, political issues etc. One can start with reading newspaper and then can develop habit of continuous reading of Novel, Journals, short stories, Articles etc.
