MBA Entrance Exam

For admission to pursue an MBA in the Dr. D. Y. Patil School of Management situated in Pune, students have to score high in the MAT.

 The cut-offs keep changing yearly depending on various factors such as the number of applicants or the overall performance of the applicants. It is likely that scoring anywhere around 600-700 in MAT would be considered a safe score for entry into the school.

That is why the school allows applicants to present MAT scores as part of the criteria for admission, which is the reason why higher percentiles significantly increase the chances of getting into the school.

 Some would thus advise prospective students to aim above the common range to improve their chances in a competitive setup.

With a 68 percentile in CAT, getting into one of the new IIMs (like IIM Kashipur, IIM Rohtak, IIM Trichy, etc.) could be challenging, even under the OBC category. While new IIMs generally have slightly lower cut-offs compared to the older ones, they still maintain high academic and professional standards. A 68 percentile might not meet the required cut-offs for these institutes. However, it's worth checking the exact cut-off trends for the specific IIMs you are interested in, as they may vary each year. You can also explore other options like private B-schools and top-tier PGDM institutes, where your percentile might be more competitive.

MUCMET Exam Duration

This is an entrance examination taken for admission into various management programs offered by universities, particularly the Mahatma Gandhi University.

The MUCMET is a 2-hour long exam in which a candidate must answer all questions that mostly include areas of quantitative aptitude, verbal ability, logical reasoning, general awareness, and so on.

Usually, the format is multiple-choice questions (MCQs), and the total number of questions varies every year. Indeed, it becomes a very valuable candidate ability required during an exam to attempt all questions within a specified time frame.

To be completely prepared for the MUCMET, one must practice timed tests to feel the simulated environment of the test.

You have to fill up a separate form to apply for PUMBA (Pune University's Management Institute) even after filling up the MAH-CET form.

The admission process is full of stages. Firstly, the candidate will be required to take the ATMA Exams, which is mandatory for admission in courses of MBA. After having attained a valid score on it, the candidate has to register himself with the One Campus Portal of Pune University purely for the admission process.,

This registration does not guarantee admission-it is just part of the application process. 

The name will appear on the merit list, after which one will have to log in to the student dashboard; there, the candidate will have to fulfill some other application requirements like document uploads and fee payments. Thus, just filling up the form for MAH-CET will not suffice in getting admission to PUMBA.
