A score of 386 in MAT is not enough to qualify for admission to the BIT Mesra MBA program. The admissions are done considering valid scores from entrance tests such as MAT, group discussion performance, and personal interview performance. Historically, a cut-off score of more than 400 to 500 is competitive for BIT Mesra. Therefore, though a score of 386 may be considered, it is probably too low for a strong application. For a better chance of getting admitted, candidates may take the MAT again to get a higher score or look for other colleges with lower cutoffs. Checking the latest cutoff announcements will make things clearer.

Since I scored 80 percentile in Maharashtra CET, getting admission into Symbiosis International University might be difficult because the university sets its cutoffs usually on a higher side for programs like BBA or B.Tech. SIU generally accepts scores from entrance exams conducted by them itself. SET is the entrance exam taken for undergraduate programs by Symbiosis International University. If you have already appeared for the SET and performed well, then there's a good chance for you. Maharashtra CET cutoff could be different for SIU with respect to courses; always refer to the official website and contact the admissions office dire

The selection process at IIM Bangalore for an MBA programme is multi-step. First, candidates have to appear for the CAT exam. The first shortlisting is done based on the CAT score, academic background, and work experience. After shortlisting, candidates are called for a Personal Interview and Written Ability Test. The final shortlist will be based on a composite score that will consider the CAT score, previous academic records, work experience, PI, WAT, and other criteria. However, the minimum required CAT percentile for IIM Bangalore keeps changing every year, but in general, it stays between 95-98 percent.

A candidate who scores just 20 on the percentile scale in CAT, hence, will find it difficult to get admission for MBA programs to any top part of the elite business schools, for all these institutes have put a very high cut-off percentage on a general basis in the range of 85 to 99 percentiles.

This very high cut-off range for all potential candidates includes even new and baby IIMs. All of them set the bar high even for the reserved categories. But then there remain some options for you.

A few private business schools and deemed universities offer admissions at the lower-end CAT score or even conduct their entrance tests. Many such inst
