A B.Com graduate can apply for jobs in any organization for an entry level opening in accounts department. The entry level job would be of book keeping, maintaining books of accounts, making JV entries, etc. A pure finance role may not be available for a B.Com graduate. With experience in accounts, one can explore opportunity internally/externally into the pure finance domain.

All the best.

Hi,
Next CMAT exam will be on January 2017.
Till then you can prepare well by self or by joining coaching institutes.
Books from Arihant publications will be helpful.
The speed is measured in the exam. Try to attend questions of each sections. Never leave any section unanswered because if you left a section it will affect the overall score.
Proceed to the section which you think is easy like English section in the CMAT exam first so that you will get enough time to complete the hard ones at last.

The cutoff varies according to category like general, SC, ST, OBC, etc. and is around average 86 for general category.
Placements are decent with oil, gas, metals and mining companies coming to campus with average 5-7 lac salary.
