Yes, CAT is difficult but not that it is impossible. With proper utilization of time and some hard work, you can score a good percentile on it. And starting its preparation depends upon your own advantage.

The JEMAT is an objective multiple choice test which consists of 3 sections namely English Language, Quantitative Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. The exam consists of 100 questions overall that will have to be completed in 120 minutes a.k.a 2 hours. There is a negative marking scheme of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

There is no predefined syllabus. There are four sections namely- General awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, English Reasoning, Logical Reasoning each of 100 marks. Each Question Has 4 marks , so total 100 qstsn are askd, which comes around to 400 as total.

CAT is one of the toughest exam for MBA admissions in IIMs and many other MBA institutes.You have to be good in all your concepts and study hard. Go through the previous year question papers and try to solve them, then you will understand where you have to improve and where your strength lies. Practice and study hard.
