MAT (Management Aptitude Test) is not compulsory for MBA at CAIIHM (Chennai Amirta International Institute of Hotel Management). According to the information available, MAT scores are required for only 20 seats in MBA courses in different streams such as MBA Finance or MBA Banking. However, all the IIMs, including CAIIHM, take their admission based on CAT (Common Admission Test). Although it is not required, MAT results are recognized as one of the selection criteria for the GNIOT MBA program, along with those from the CAT, XAT, GMAT, and CMAT. A legitimate MAT score is not required, though, as it is only necessary for 20 seats in MBA programs across a variety of tracks, including MBA Finance. Thus, MAT is not mandatorily required for admission to MBA at GNIOT as it accepts other entrance exams as well.

A candidate with a 70%ile in CAT can potentially get into Teerthanker Mahaveer University (TMU) for an MBA program. The admission process for the MBA programme at TMU is based on CAT/CMAT-MAT scores and a personal interview. While there is no specific cutoff mentioned for the MBA program, a high CAT score can improve your chances of getting admitted.
