Determining whether an MBA at Madras University is a good choice depends on why candidates want to pursue the course. The MBA course is no doubt among the most popular courses among students in India. Among the many reasons why an MBA is famous is because an MBA graduate's average income is much higher than that of an employee with a regular Master's. Further, doing an MBA degree increases the chances for candidates to land on a good firm and a good ROI.

PES University CAT Cutoff 2024 is yet to be released. The Cutoff will soon be released after the CAT results are out. Last year, the CAT percentile required for MBA admission was 50, for the General All India category candidates. The percentile requirement has remained constant for the past 3 years. PES University also accepts Karnataka PGCET rank for MBA admission. In 2023, the required PGCET rank for PES University was 575.

The university offers four non-major electives (courses offered to other departments) in the Alagappa University MBA programme. Candidates can select the preferred course in the second or third semester. The non-major electives included in the course curriculum are:

  • Management of Organisational Stress and Conflict
  • Management of Retailing
  • Management of Small Business
  • Management of Family Business

Anna University admission to the MBA course is based on TANCET scores, followed by a counselling round. TANCET cutoff 2024 was released for Anna University affiliated colleges for MBA and MCA courses. As per the last-round cutoff, the MBA 2024 cutoff stood at 250 for Kumaraguru College of Technology, 387 for Karpagam College of Engineering and 404 for MEC - Mahendra Engineering College. For MBA, the cutoff scores was 6268 for M.A.M. Business School,Tiruchirappalli and 6227 for Surya Group of Institutions, Chennai for the General AI quota. Alagappa University follows the reservation policy as prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It also has 5% of seats reserved for differently-abled students (Government Letter No.12599/K2/2017-1, dated 21.07.2017). For admission in reserved seats, the candidates are required to submit the relevant documents. Moreover, the seat allotment for the PG course is done based on candidates performance in the accepted exams and performance in the selection rounds.

Considering the university 2024 admission schedule, the application window remains open till May. The Alagappa University entrance exam in 2024 was conducted on Jun 2. Hence, the Alagappa University MBA applications can be expected to be out in Apr/May. The admission notification is published on the official website of the university.
