During the IMS BHU cutoff 2023, the last round closing rank was 1084 for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course. In 2022 and 2021, the last round closing ranks stood at 2735 and 974, respectively for Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) for All India General category students. The cutoff is high in IMS-BHU as it ranked the 5 best medical colleges in India.

IMS-BHU provide a decent placemnt to its student but medical college are not known for placement, there are some student who goes for placement are while other goes for PG courses. some of the stats of 2020,2021 batch for placemet are given below:-
128 students of PG courses were placed during 2021 placements. Further, the median package offered to MBBS students during 2020 placements was INR 14 LPA. The top recruiters of IMS BHU during the recent years include AIIMS, Fortis Healthcare, Apollo Hospitals, Max Hospitals, etc.

BHU Scholarship Benefits
In order to avail BHU Scholarship, students must fulfill the following criteria:

| Merit-based BHU scholarship | First-rank holders are granted a one-time remuneration of INR 4,000 as a reward. Second rank holders are granted INR 3,000 (once) as a reward at Banaras Hindu University. |
| Physically challenged students | 25 Physically handicapped students are granted a one-time remuneration of INR 4,000 per student. |
| MBAprogram toppers | MBA students who have topped the first year exams are rewarded INR 10,000 under the Pyare Lal - Prem Vati Memorial Scholarship. |
| Best academics BHU Scholarship | Students with excellent academics or given the S. N. Ranade Scholarship. The rewards vary as per the performance of the students. |

The College Cut-off is the minimum mark prescribed by the selection board for the admission of students. A merit list will be designed on these Cutoff scores. Aspirants who apply for the Institute must clear the cutoff for various courses.
