The eligibility criteria for admission in MBBS at Trichy SRM Medical College includes a minimum of 50 percent (40 for the reserved categories) in PCB stream in Class 12th Board Examinations from a recognised Educational Board.

While both the colleges are remarkably good for MBBS, in all aspects. However, SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre is better for doing so.
The college is not just a college but an all purpose reaserch centre which works on collaboration with many other hospital and universities. Seminars are regularly held by students to make them familiar with medical industry.
Fees and Placement records of both the colleges are quite similar. Extracurricular activities are also held in SRM Medical College Hospital and Research Centre to encourage the non academic talents in students.

Trichy SRM Medical College is one of most preferred private colleges of undergraduate medical studies. The consolidated placement statistics are not available on the official website. As per NIRF report 2024, the median package offered to MBBS students was INR 12 LPA during the placements 2023. The median package offered to MBBS students remained the same for the last two years i.e., INR 12 LPA. Moreover, as per the report, 114 MBBS students received placement offers.
