Yes, admission to NIT Trichy is totally dependent on the NIMCET entrance exam. Every year, the exam is held to select students for MCA programmes at NITs. Before submitting an application to sit the entrance exam, candidates must confirm their eligibility. Candidates who wish to take the exam must apply through NIMCET's official website. To get admitted to the MCA programme at NIT Trichy, students must have a minimum 60% aggregate or 6.5 CGPA in BSc/BSc (Hons)/BCA/BIT with Mathematics/Statistics/Equivalent as one of the disciplines. Students who have completed a BE/B Tech or similar degree from a qualified university may also apply for this course. Candidates from the SC/ST categories, on the other hand, are eligible for a 5% relaxation. These candidates must acquire a minimum of 55% or 6.0 CGPA in their respective graduations. Candidates will be shortlisted for subsequent rounds of selection based on their eligibility.

The NIT Trichy MCA 2023 admission is currently closed. The last seat assignment for the month of July marks the conclusion of the admissions process. However, NIMCET registration will mark the start of NIT Trichy's 2024 MCA admissions. It is likely that NIMCET 2024 registration will open in July of that year.
