It is my personal opinion that, MCA is better than MS because MCA graduates get a lot of opportunities in private sector as well as in the government sector. They can work in information technology and software field but whereas MS is restricted to the branch you choose. And, MS in IT is a good branch, but I think MCA as a better one as it is more practical study.

The general eligibility criteria to be eligible for applying for BCA course is 10+2 from a recognised board of education or equivalent, with minimum 50% marks in total and also having mathematics as a subject in the qualifying examination. Some colleges such as IGNOU allow non maths students to seek admission in BCA.

Hi,
Yes, you are eligible for NIMCET exam. In this exam, class 12th marks is not important, but graduation marks will matter surely. You must have 60% in graduation with one subject Maths/Stats. There are many exam too for MCA such as: BHU MCA CET, BITS Mesra MCA CET, JNU MCA CET, DU MCA CET, MAH MCA CET. For this exam, you need to have Maths as a subject in class 12th and in Graduation with 50%-55% with one subject maths/stats.

The eligibility criteria for NIMCET is as follows: (a) Candidates must be holding graduation degree I. e. BCA/B.Sc (Hons) /B.Sc/BIT as per 10+2+3 pattern from a recognised University (b) Candidates must have studied mathematics or statistics or equivalent subject during graduation degree. Candidates with B.Com are not eligible for appearing in NIMCET.
