Direct entry into MCC's MCA program generally is not offered. TANCET performance is considered highly as a basis for admission. However, on the basis of an outstanding academic performance record, candidates with valid scores in TANCET or qualifying undergraduate degrees could be considered for admission.

Madras Christian College (MCC) accepts TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) for Master of Computer Applications. TANCET is conducted by Anna University and tests the candidate based on knowledge possessed on subjects as related to MCA curriculum.
