MD Eligibility

Students interested in admission to TMBU for an MD must have completed a three-year bachelor's or equivalent degree in a relevant discipline at any recognised university. Admissions at TMBU are based on the accepted entrance examination. Therefore, in addition to meeting the basic eligibility criteria, candidates must appear for the NEET PG entrance exam for the final selection.

To be eligible for an MD in Homoeopathy at Homoeopathy University, you must meet the following criteria:

Have a Bachelor of Homoeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) from a recognised institute 

Have qualified for the All India Ayush Post Graduate Entrance Test (AIAPGET) 

Be registered with the Rajasthan Board of Homoeopathic Medicine or the Central Council of Homoeopathy 

Candidates seeking GMCH Chandigarh MD admission under the State Quota must register for the NEET Chandigarh counselling. In addition to meeting the basic eligibility criteria prescribed by the National Medical Commission, they must fulfil the eligibility requirements as mentioned below:

To be eligible for an MD programme at the Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research (MIMER) in Talegaon, you must: 

Have a 50% aggregate in your MBBS degree

Pass the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET)

Obtain a minimum percentile in the NEET PG exam.

The NEET is a national-level entrance exam for medical school admission in India.

The eligibility criteria for different MD programs may vary. For example, the minimum percentile required for the MD in Skin and VD (DVL) programme is different for different categories. 

To pursue an MD in Acupuncture, candidates must typically have a background in Medicine or allied health sciences. The eligibility criteria usually require a Bachelor's degree in Acupuncture, Physiotherapy, BAMS, Physiotherapy,5 BPT, or a related healthcare field. 

Some institutes may also accept candidates with a BSc in Nursing, Physiotherapy, or similar qualifications. 

Additionally, applicants should have a strong understanding of human anatomy, Physiology, and holistic treatment methods.\

To be eligible for the MD in Psychiatry at Central Institute of Psychiatry (CIP), Ranchi, candidates must have completed their MBBS degree from a recognised medical college and must be registered with the Medical Council of India (MCI) or State Medical Council. Additionally, candidates are required to have completed their internship before applying for the MD program. Admission is generally through an entrance exam conducted by CIP or based on national-level exams such as NEET PG, depending on the specific year's guidelines.

The Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research Talegaon requires an MBBS degree or a provisional MBBS pass certificate that meets the requirements of the NMC Act of 2019 and the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956, both of which have been abolished, in order for a candidate to be eligible for an MD. The candidate also has to possess an interim or permanent MBBS registration certificate from the previous Medical Council of India, the NMC, or the State Medical Council. The applicant must have completed their internship within the last year or be on schedule to do so by the latest on March 31, 2023.

The eligibility criteria for MD at Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research Talegaon is: the candidate needs to have an MBBS degree or a provisional MBBS pass certificate that satisfies the requirements of the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956, which has been abolished, and the NMC Act of 2019. Additionally, the candidate must hold a permanent or interim MBBS registration certificate issued by the State Medical Council, the NMC, or the former Medical Council of India. The candidate needs to have finished their internship in a year or be on track to finish it by March 31, 2023, at the latest.
