To be eligible for an MD programme at the Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research (MIMER) in Talegaon, you must:
Have a 50% aggregate in your MBBS degree
Pass the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET)
Obtain a minimum percentile in the NEET PG exam.

These are the Eligibility Criteria for Admission to MBBS in Institute of Post Graduate Medical Education and Research (IPGMER):
Educational Qualification:
Passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with compulsory subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology and English.
Minimum percentage requirement: 50% for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, and 45% for PwD in PCB overall.
Age Limit:
Should have completed a minimum of 17 years on or before 31st December of the year of admission.
Upper age limit: 25 years (30 years for reserved categories).

For Eligibility at MBBS in Mahatma Gandhi University of Medical Sciences and Technology Candidates must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as compulsory subjects with a minimum of 50% marks. For candidates belonging to reserved categories, the minimum is 40%. They also need to qualify for NEET UG and should be at least 17 years old by December 31 of the year in which they are to join, should have a valid CBSE or State Board Class XII scorecard; and, on that scorecard, must obtain a minimum of 50% in the qualifying examination.

The Maharashtra Institute of Medical Education and Research Talegaon requires an MBBS degree or a provisional MBBS pass certificate that meets the requirements of the NMC Act of 2019 and the Indian Medical Council Act of 1956, both of which have been abolished, in order for a candidate to be eligible for an MD. The candidate also has to possess an interim or permanent MBBS registration certificate from the previous Medical Council of India, the NMC, or the State Medical Council. The applicant must have completed their internship within the last year or be on schedule to do so by the latest on March 31, 2023.

Any doctor having an MD degree is fit to pursue a Doctor of Medicine degree. The academic merit of the students is strictly considered for selection into this DM in Medical.
