With 260 marks in NEET, entry into a government BDS college is extremely difficult, particularly for the General category, where cutoffs are typically 450+.
Admission Probabilities by Category:
General Category: Extremely little chance in government colleges.
OBC/EWS: Distant, due to higher cutoffs.
SC/ST: Certain government dental colleges have reserved seats, although competition is stiff.
Other options:
Private BDS colleges charge fees of 2-6 Lacs per year.
Deemed Universities can have lower cut-offs.
Counseling Rounds: Participate in the Mop-Up and Stray Vacancy Rounds.

The Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) curriculum of Dr. Ziauddin Ahmad Dental College, Aligarh Muslim University, is extremely competitive. In the 2024 admission cycle the General All India category had a closing rank of 31,621.
While the actual NEET score equivalent to this rank varies year to year due to factors such as exam difficulty and candidate performance a closing rank of 31,621 is normally associated with a NEET score much higher than 203. As a result with a NEET score of 203 entrance to the BDS program at this institution is doubtful.

Private colleges charge significantly more than government colleges. Over a 4.5-year course, this adds up fast, so it's important to weigh the cost against the college's reputation, infrastructure, and placement/practice opportunities before committing to a private seat.
| Top Private MBBS Colleges | Tuition Fee |
|---|---|
| Gopal Narayan Singh University MBBS Courses | INR 46.7 lakh |
| Al-Karim University MBBS Courses | INR 4.2 Cr. |
| Mata Gujri Memorial Medical College MBBS Courses | INR 43.3 lakh |
| Katihar Medical College and Hospital MBBS Courses | INR 49.7 lakh |
| Narayan Medical College and Hospital MBBS Courses | INR 55.1 lakh |
| SK Medical College, Muzaffarpur MBBS Courses | INR 40,500 |
| Lord Buddha Koshi Medical College and Hospital MBBS Courses | INR 54 lakh |
| Netaji Subhas Medical College and Hospital MBBS Courses | INR 72 lakh |
| Madhubani Medical College and Hospital MBBS Courses | INR 63 lakh |
| Radha Devi Jageshwari Memorial Medical College and Hospital MBBS Courses | INR 53.5 lakh |
