NIFT Shillong is a relatively new campus but it doesn't lack in providing quality education and though it may not be as famous as NIFT Delhi, Mumbai or Bangalore. The flagship campuses already have well-developed structures, academic staff and links to industry and commerce. Even though NIFT of Shillong offers good design and fashion management programs, it may lack a few basic amenities and better placement opportunities as in top B school campuses. However, for students of Northeast India, it still becomes a viable option among all the NIFT campuses.

Getting admission to IIPH Shillong is considered moderately difficult as the selection process is merit-based, requiring a good academic record, relevant work experience in the health sector, and a strong performance in the essay writing and GDPI rounds; while not highly competitive, it does involve a rigorous evaluation process to ensure suitable candidates are admitted.

If we compare William Carey University to other private universities of Shillong, such as Martin Luther Christian University, we can see that William Carey University offers more varied BA courses than Martin Luther Christian University.

The tuition fees for William Carey University BA programme is also much lesser than the total tuition fees of Martin Luther Christian University. Thus, not only there are more seats in William Carey University for BA programme but it is also much more affordable if we compare it to other universities of the region.
