Admission to the B.Sc., IHM Shillong PG programme is merit-based and depends mainly on NCHMCT JEE exam. Applicants must have passed 10+2 with minimum aggregate of 45-50% marks. The cut-off ranks over the years suggest that it is open, but you will need a reasonably high score to make sure of your place in there specifically since some of its categories operate on a first-come-first-served basis.

In IHM Shillong, the fee for UG Diploma courses is INR 75,000. Under the Diploma category, it provides a variety of courses. All these regular courses continue for a duration of 18 months. Admissions are provided considering the marks in the 12th Board Examination.

Admission to the B.Sc in Hospitality and Hotel Administration at IHM Shillong is done as per the scores obtained in the National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology Joint Entrance Exam conducted centrally. For admission to UG Diploma courses, admission is based on marks obtained in the 10+2 examination for which candidates have to be pass-outs with compulsory English.

The tuition fees for a Bachelor of Science in hospitality and hotel administration at IHM Shillong are about:

  • First Year: INR 70,000 - INR 80,000
  • Second Year: INR 80,000 - INR 90,000

Other courses are also taught in IHM Shillong, but mainly the best one among them is the Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and Hotel Administration. It is a three-year course that prepares students for appropriate skills on supervisory levels in the hospitality sectors, be it Food Production, Service, or Hotel Management. It is basically recognised because of its well-rounded curriculum with excellent placement opportunities.
