No, you are not eligible for B.Sc. Nautical Science or B.Tech Marine Engineering officer-level Merchant Navy courses as you require 60% in PCM. But, you can join the GP Rating course, where you can work as crew and later appear for the officer-level exams if you have the experience.

Candidates can join the courses offered like B.E/B.Tech in Marine Engineering or B.Sc. in Nautical Science or a DNS (Diploma in Nautical Science). In the case of merchant navy, you can get in by joining RL Institute of Nautical Science by taking up GP Rating or B.Tech in Nautical Science courses. For GP Rating, it requires a minimum of a 10th pass with 40% marks in Science, English, and Math. For the more advanced courses, you must qualify for 12th-grade, requiring Physics, Chemistry, and Math. You have to clear entrance exams like IMU-CET along with medical checks and physical requirements to be admitted. After clearing the course, you can find a great opportunity in the merchant navy.

If you want to join the navy after the tenth class, you can seek the Matric Entry Recruitment of the Indian Navy. Generally, under this Matric Entry, the SAILOR and some Artificer Apprentice roles are open for an applicant. Then, candidates need to go through the Written Exam, Physical Fitness Test, and Medical Examination. The age limit for the same is 17 to 20 years with a corresponding qualification of 60 percent marks in Class 10. For notifications, you can check the official Navy recruitment website. After Class 12, you can also expect the NDA (National Defence Academy) exam for entry into the navy as an officer.
