As a result of this, you also could be considered as a domicile of Maharashtra and can seek admission, as a Maharashtra candidate for any of the engineering colleges situated within the state. However, to be more precise and confirmatory I would advise you to see the website of directorate of technical education of the Maharashtra government where in the eligibility and domicile conditions are given out in detail. I think both have their own pros and cons. IPU is more established in Delhi region as IP University has many colleges across Delhi. Both conducts their own engineering entrance exams in India.
